A clinician-led toolkit that helps you use AI safely, ask clearer questions, and prepare for appointments — created by Dr Inyang Takon, Senior Consultant Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician.
Parents and carers of children with ADHD, autism, developmental differences, learning difficulties, or concerns awaiting assessment.
From understanding what AI can do to knowing when AI is not enough.
The full BrainDiverse Parent AI Starter Toolkit, written by Dr Takon.
Copy-and-paste prompts for observations, appointments, school and more — each with a safety note.
Hand-completed worksheets: privacy checks, observation records, appointment and school planners.
A collaborative agreement to set shared AI boundaries with children and teenagers.
A memorable five-step framework to keep near any device used for AI.
Dr Inyang Takon is a Senior Consultant Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician with more than 20 years of experience assessing and supporting children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions.
She created this toolkit because families need more than a list of clever prompts — they need a safe method. Her teaching keeps observations separate from interpretation, protects a child's privacy, and always points parents back to the right professional when a decision could affect their child's health, education or safety.
This toolkit supports preparation, understanding and organisation. It does not provide a diagnosis, individual medical advice or a substitute for assessment by a qualified professional, and it does not replace your child's clinicians. AI-generated information should never be used to start, stop or change medication or treatment. If you are concerned about a child's immediate health or safety, contact an appropriate healthcare professional or emergency service.
During testing, the complete toolkit and course are free for participating parents in exchange for feedback. Once testing ends, the toolkit and course will be available for £49.
Parent feedback and testimonials will appear here once the pilot is complete. Thank you to every parent helping shape the final toolkit.
